Violinist Elmira Darvarova, after 24 years with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, as former concertmaster and the first female concertmaster in the MET’s history, is once again gracing concert halls as a soloist. She’ll be making two Arizona appearances this month as she returns August 23 & 24th to perform with the Red Rocks Music Festival, in “FROM BACH TO BLUES”, an eclectic recital program that includes several world premieres-all for unaccompanied violin.
Call Me Debbie—True Confessions of a Down-to-earth Diva, by Deborah Voight, Harper, 2015 "...you’ll come away from this book not only loving Voights artistry and talent, but also loving her as a person, and admiring her for going through this ring of fire and coming out the other side. After reading this memoir, Debbie’s more than a talented Diva—she’s family." --Randy Kinkel, KBAQ (Meet Debbie at Changing Hands bookstore at 3 pm Feb 15th!)
