Rhapsody in Blue-- George Wrote it, Ira named it.

The hit songwriting team, brothers George and Ira Gershwin, also teamed up on the title of the work. George was calling it "American Rhapsody"--  Ira, who'd just been to an exhibit of artwork by James Whistler, many of which had colors in the titles, suggested "Rhapsody in Blue".  hear this iconic American masterpiece on "KBACH's Most Wanted" with Linda Cassidy this afternoon at 12:42!
