Enjoy dance in a unique outdoor setting complete with a stage, lighting, costumes and beautiful Arizona weather. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a varied program ranging from classical to contemporary. You won’t want to miss this perfect show for the entire family – it's a great way to introduce ballet to your children for the first time.
All performances start at 7PM and feature KBAQ announcers as MCs and at an outreach table, including Susan Mulligan, Bruce Drummond, Duart Martin, Katrina Becker, and Janine Miller -- be sure to pick up information about your favorite radio station.
The program (subject to change; same repertoire at all five parks) includes excerpts from Divertimento No. 15 featuring choreography by Balanchine and music by Mozart, A Midsummer Night's Dream with music by Mendelssohn and choreography by Ballet AZ's own Ib Andersen, and The Four Temperaments with music by Paul Hindemith.

Arizona Opera Summer Film Series at the Phoenix Art Museum
Set sail for adventure with the sixth annual Arizona Opera Summer Film Series presented in partnership with Phoenix Art Museum's Movies at the Museum.
Gilbert and Sullivan's comedy The Pirates of Penzance inspired this year's series, celebrating the dashing and dangerous swashbucklers of the silver screen.
September 26: Treasure Island
Robert Louis Stevenson’s tale fired the imagination of generations of children with visions of treasure maps marked with an “X”, buried plunder, peg-legged pirates named Long John Silver, and salty wisecracking parrots. Jackie Cooper stars as the young Jim Hawkins who unknowingly sets sail with a motley crew of cutthroats for the adventure of a lifetime.
1934 -- in English. 103 minutes.
Screeing begins at 1PM. Film is free with museum admission and is shown in the Whiteman Auditorium at the Phoenix Art Museum; seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
