During the 30 some odd years Jon has been in radio he has lived and worked in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Denver, Colorado; Dallas and San Antonio, Texas. The last 24 years have been in Phoenix where, before coming to KBAQ, he was the morning show host of KKLT.
He and his wife Lynn live in a historic neighborhood in Central Phoenix their LARGE dog Roxanne and LARGE cat Jonah, a 21 pound Manx from AZ Rescue. They also own a home in the southeastern Arizona mining town of Bisbee. Jon is also a fan of classic cars, the current ongoing project being a 1967 Pontiac GTO, for all you muscle car fans out there.
Other interests include welding, cooking, music, gardening (Jon & Lynn are Certified Master Gardeners). Lynn is co-owner of Southwest Gardener, a garden shop in central Phoenix. Both Jon and Lynn are avid readers with at least two selections going at any given time.
Jon has been a long time supporter of the arts community in Phoenix being a long time member of the Phoenix Art Museum and regularly attending performances by ATC and Phoenix Theater. He has also served on the board of the Phoenix Center, a non-profit arts organization in Central Phoenix.
