Since KBAQ-FM is limited in power by the NAFTA treaty** we use in-town translators to fill in our coverage areas. The main channel (89.5 MHz) comes from the White Tank Mountain Park area, and is essentially non-directional save a null to the North protecting stations in Prescott & Williams.

We have a directional system on 89.7 located atop Thompson Peak, Northeast of Phoenix. Signal from there goes due North for Troon/Rio Verde, and Southwest for Scottsdale. We also use 89.3 MHz for filling in behind South Mountain to Sun Lakes.

You may receive any of these outlets when an autotuning system stops on the best carrier. They all carry the same program, so at times your dial will read something other than 89.5.

** In compliance with the NAFTA Treaty, KBAQ is prevented from broadcasting at too high a signal so as not to cross over into Mexico.
