Challenge grants are a great way to support KBAQ and motivate other listeners to step forward to do so also. When you designate your single gift of $250 or greater to be used as an on-air challenge, then other listeners are inspired to help us make the goal of the challenge.

A few facts about challenges:
- Number of pledges or dollar goal for a challenge is determined by the Program Director to maximize the station's fundraising abilities.
- Challenges are issued to individual listener members for individual pledges, not to corporations or special interests.
- Challenge messages are spoken live and thus may vary.
Challenge Levels:
- $2,500 Level
- Stand alone challenge during one hour.
- Donor will be mentioned in a stand alone message.
- A minimum of 8 mentions during the hour. Please provide 3-5 talking points about the business for the mentions.
- Donor requests for a specific hour will be honored if possible, but challenge dollar amounts vary among programs and are set by the Program Director.
- Option to recycle the grant to another hour if the challenge is not met.
- Acknowledgement and a link to the donor's business on the Friends of Public Radio Arizona website.
- Acknowledgement in thank you letters to volunteers and challenge sponsors.
- Publicity throughout the pledge drive in our 'pledge central' offices.
- $1,000 Level
- Donor will be mentioned in a stand alone message or in conjunction with other donors depending on the hour.
- A minimum of 6 mentions during the hour. Please provide 3-5 talking points about the business for the mentions.
- Donor requests for a specific hour will be honored if possible, but challenge dollar amounts vary among programs and are set by the Program Director.
- Option to recycle the grant to another hour if the challenge is not met.
- Acknowledgement and a link to the donor's business on the Friends of Public Radio Arizona website.
- Acknowledgement in thank you letters to volunteers and challenge sponsors.
- Publicity throughout the pledge drive in our 'pledge central' offices.
- $500 Level
- Donor will be mentioned in conjunction with other donors.
- A minimum of 4 mentions during the hour.
- Option to recycle the grant to another hour if the challenge is not met.
- Acknowledgement and a link to the donor's business on the Friends of Public Radio Arizona website.
- Acknowledgement in thank you letters to volunteers and challenge sponsors.
- Publicity throughout the pledge drive in our 'pledge central' offices.
